This utility will make it possible to decide the contents of an IPOD by using a "CATraxxITunesCollection" and syncronize it with iTunes (IPOD).
In this setup, iTunes is only used as a syncronizing tool for the IPOD (except for all other contents than music)

The "CATraxxITunesCollection" is based upon 3 fields:

1. Album.Custom24 (can be renamed to iTunes)
2. Track.Custom24 (can be renamed to iTunes)
3. Track.Custom17 (can be renamed to iTunesID)

You can either set Album.Custom24 to include all tracks in the album or just set Track.Custom24 to include individual tracks.

Unfortunately, due to Apple's proprietary software, only the following audio formats are valid:

1. Directly: mp3, aac, m4a, m4b, m4p, mp4, wav. and wma (with automatic conversion)
2. With conversion: wma (this means a duplication of tracks)

This is how it looks, when you start the program:

The Date/Time ... indicates the last date/time that you looked for updates.
Updates are albums/tracks modified since the indicated date/time.

Press to see if there are any updates available.

You can choose to see the updates before doing the actual update. Just press Yes.

The next step is to press to do the actual update.

The next step is to press to check for:

1. iTunes tracks, that were removed from the CATraxx ITunesCollection (Album.Custom24 or Track.Custom24 reset) (will be deleted from iTunes)
2. CATraxxITunesCollection tracks, that are not present in iTunes (accidentially/deliberately removed from iTunes) (will be added back into iTunes)
3. iTunes playlists, that have become empty (no tracks))
4. The program only works on the iTunes Music library, meaning videos, podcasts, movies etc. will not be touched.

You can also transfer your CATraxx manually created playlists. Press and select one or more playlists.

The Tracks* indicates the #tracks in the playlist, that is part of your CATraxxITunesCollection.
When you transfer playlists, a program option allows you to only include tracks that are part of your CATraxx iTunesCollection.
The default is that all tracks are transferred, and the ones that are not part of your CATraxx ITunesCollection, will be added automatically.

Press to do the actual transfer.

Before you "add" albums/tracks in CATraxx, please check out the program options.

Program Options:

If CATraxx is running, the database open in CATraxx will be used. That database will be stored as the last used database when the program closes.
If CATraxx is not running, the last used database will be opened. If that database cannot be found, the last database used in CATraxx will be opened.
You can change the current database in ProgramOptions.
FormControl is used to limit the size of the self-expanding forms to x% of the actual screen width/height.
When transferring playlists, you can decide whether tracks not existing in iTunes should be added or not.
If a track is added, Track.Custom24 will be set.
If you want to include sort fields in iTunes, please select "Include sort fields".
The default option is not to include.
If you set Close iTunes..., iTunes will close down if this program started iTunes.
